Can’t use law to scuttle criticism of netas: Court
A Mapusa court granted anticipatory bail to Swapnesh Sherlekar, stating that criticism of government policy cannot be suppressed by filing complaints for hurting religious sentiments. The court observed that Sherlekar's video, which allegedly mocked Hindu religious practices, was primarily directed at the BJP's policy stance on tiger reserves and did not use derogatory language against deities.
