Delhi police bust illegal call centre defrauding US citizens through tech support scam
Delhi Police's Crime Branch has busted an illegal call centre in North Delhi, apprehending seven individuals. The operation targeted a scam targeting US citizens by posing as tech support. Accused used VoIP and remote access to trick victims into buying cryptocurrency, primarily Bitcoin, to 'secure' their funds from fabricated threats. The call centre had been operating since September.
