Aamir Khan and Ashutosh Gowariker are reuniting for a grand period sports drama focusing on cricketer Lala Amarnath during the 1947 partition. With scripting advanced and inputs from Hirani and Joshi, production targets late this year for a September 2026 shoot. This marks Khan's return to cricket films, with a parallel lead role also planned.
