Assam polls 2026: AGP rules out friendly fight with BJP, names 26 nominees
The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has announced candidates for 26 assembly seats, with half being Muslim nominees. Notably, two suspended AIUDF MLAs joined AGP and secured tickets. Party president Atul Bora confirmed AGP would only contest seats allocated by the BJP, rejecting any friendly contests for seats the BJP claimed.
