Delhi Police bust food tampering racket in Okhla, expired products worth Rs 20 lakh seized, 7 arrested
Delhi Police has dismantled a food tampering ring in Okhla, arresting seven individuals, including the owner. The syndicate allegedly bought expired and near-expiry branded food items, chemically removed original dates, and repackaged them with fresh expiry dates for sale nationwide via retail and online channels. Over Rs 20 lakh worth of tampered products, including popular beverages and food items, were seized along with machinery used in the operation.
