HC vacates interim order, allows partial appointment of doctors

The Orissa High Court ruled that the OPSC's medical officer recruitment advertisement violated the 50% reservation ceiling. While acknowledging the state's doctor shortage, the court permitted partial appointments, allowing the OPSC to recommend 411 unreserved and an equal number of reserved candidates. The health department can then fill backlog reserved vacancies.
