Dr Thiyagarajan SM, a 2011-batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre, has been assigned a director-level position in the Union Ministry of Cooperation in Delhi on a five-year central deputation. Originally from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, he completed his MBBS before joining the IPS in 2010 and subsequently entering the IAS in 2011. He has served as district magistrate in Gaya, Nalanda and Darbhanga, with his administrative work also involving healthcare initiatives in Bihar.
