Lucknow fire tragedy: LDA issues demolition notice 10 years after revoking similar order
Following a tragic fire that claimed 15 young lives, the Lucknow Development Authority has issued a demolition notice to the owner of the Aliganj commercial building. An initial probe revealed the structure was used for commercial purposes, contrary to its residential permit. Records also indicate a prior demolition order for illegal construction was surprisingly rescinded in 2016. The owner must now justify why the building shouldn't be razed.
