Mayoral race heats up: Masked men storm bus in Maharashtra’s Wardha, try to ‘kidnap’ 20 Congress corporators
In a dramatic incident, masked assailants attempted to abduct 20 newly elected Congress corporators from Chandrapur near Wardha. The corporators, en route to register as a group, fought off the attackers with help from supporters. Police are investigating the attempted kidnapping, which Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar claims was aimed at disrupting their bid for power in the municipal corporation.
