Mumbai Court: Stealing from daughter-in-law is domestic violence
A Mumbai court has recognized repeated theft of money for alcohol by a father-in-law as economic domestic violence. The ruling came as a man was ordered to pay over Rs 21 lakh in arrears. The court found sustained abuse, including financial manipulation and sexual harassment, by the husband and his family, leading to a protection order and maintenance payments.
