Mumbai rains trigger major road cave-in in Bhandup; vehicle falls into excavation pit, trees collapse
A significant road collapse occurred in Bhandup near Asian Paints, leading to the fall of trees and a vehicle into a newly formed pit. The incident happened during piling work for a residential building. While no one was injured, one lane of the road was temporarily shut as a safety measure. BMC officials confirmed that all construction sites in the vicinity had been inspected prior to the monsoon.
