Murder accused opens attack on police in Bengaluru, shot in self-defence
Police shot a murder suspect in the leg during a weapons recovery operation after he allegedly attacked officers with a machete and stones. The accused, Mahadev, was part of a group arrested for a recent murder. He reportedly became violent when taken to a crime scene to retrieve weapons. Two constables were injured in the confrontation. The suspect, a known rowdy-sheeter with multiple criminal cases, is stable and receiving treatment.
