Private schools in Ranchi to face penalties, de-recognition for ‘arbitrary’ fee hike
Ranchi has taken a proactive approach in regulating private school fees, imposing staggering penalties of up to Rs 2.5 lakh for any unjustified hikes. A district committee, headed by the deputy commissioner, now has the power to oversee fee administration and revoke school accreditation if rules aren't followed.
