Saudi Arabia has updated its corporate rules to clearly identify beneficial owners in companies. Individuals holding 25 percent or more ownership are now considered beneficial owners, with alternative criteria based on control if ownership is unclear. Shareholders acting on behalf of others must disclose details within 15 days, while subsidiaries of listed companies are exempt, strengthening transparency and corporate accountability.
