The downsizing is also expected to reduce peak output by 3-5hp compared to the current engine used by Triumph Motorcycles. The existing 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit produces 40hp and 37.5Nm in most models, with the Triumph Thruxton 400 receiving a 2hp increase.
